Proverbs 14:11-13
New American Bible (Revised Edition)
11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed,
but the tent of the upright will flourish.[a](A)
12 Sometimes a way seems right,
but the end of it leads to death!(B)
13 Even in laughter the heart may be sad,
and the end of joy may be sorrow.
Footnotes
- 14:11 The traditional fixed pair “house” and “tent” is used to express the paradox that a house can be less secure than a tent if there is no justice.
